TURNING YOUR IDEA INTO REALITY. You’ve thought a lot about your big idea. How do you flesh it out into a full-fledged entrepreneurial venture? On Tuesday, we’ll hear from two entrepreneurs who know how to take a dream and turn it into reality.
Trey Bowles (@treybowles) has extensive professional experience as an entrepreneur and startup marketing strategist. He has raised venture capital for numerous arts- and entertainment-related ventures, and he is teaching a new Social Entrepreneurship course at SMU this semester. Bowles has served in leadership roles for ventures including Big Jump Media, GodTube, Streamcast Networks, and TOMS Shoes. He also chairs Startup Texas, the statewide arm of a national White House initiative to drive entrepreneurship. (Startup Texas recently held a pitch competition at Cowboys Stadium.)
Even before she graduated from SMU Journalism in May 2012, Natalie Blankenship (@natalieblanken) launched New Digital Strategies, her social media marketing firm specializing in community management, content creation and strategic digital marketing. As an undergrad, she held six internships in Austin, Dallas and New York City and was the arts and entertainment editor for the SMU Daily Campus and the SMU Daily Mustang. She has written That Foodie Girl blog for almost two years.

Your question can relate to something you’re struggling with in creating your own entrepreneurial idea, or it can be about entrepreneurship in general.
